    Overview

Zoom! is a puzzle game for the Commodore Amiga and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. It features gameplay that is a cross between QIX and Q*Bert: the protagonist skates across a grid, completing flashing boxes once all four lines that compose that box have been crossed. One or more enemies are in hot pursuit, though the player can deter them by collecting power-ups that range from invincibility to freezing all enemies temporarily. The playing field is displayed at an oblique angle, with sprites becoming larger and smaller as they head towards and away from the screen, respectively.

The game was originally developed in Germany for the Amiga home computer platform by Discovery Software International in 1988. A contract developer working for Sega created the Genesis port, crediting Discovery on the title screen. Zoom was one of the first twenty games to be released for the system, but the first to have originated outside of Japan.
